The Student Internship Opportunities Initiative is up and running at the Chamber!

We have received grant money from the New York State Department of Labor to create internship opportunities with local private-sector businesses for students in the community.  We have two staff members working on this Internship Program who are here to help both students and businesses though every step of the process.  For more information, please visit www.ithacainterns.com.

The grant from the New York State Department of Labor provides funding for the operation and administration of our program which matches high school and college students with internship opportunities in local for-profit businesses. Our hope is that through these internships students will gain the real world experience they are looking for and that businesses will be able to tackle large projects that have been on the back burnner as well as develop a pipeline for attracting entry level talent.
